Improve Your Smile

Made from porcelain or composite resin, dental veneers are an excellent option for treating teeth that are chipped, discoloured, slightly crooked or to close small gaps between your teeth.

The first step to a beautiful smile is a discussion with your dentist about your treatment options so they are in line with what you are hoping to achieve. You can discuss your options and ask any questions during your regular visit for a check-up. You can also book a consultation appointment for a one-on-one discussion with our veneer dentists about your smile goals.

Porcelain Veneers

These types of veneers are thin, tooth-coloured shells that bond to the front surface of your tooth. These are the best veneers to get as there is minimal tooth preparation required prior to the veneer being custom-made in a laboratory.

Porcelain veneers are also very resistant to staining and chipping.

What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are an extremely thin covering for your teeth that can change a tooth’s colour or shape, or to correct damage. As porcelain is translucent, it allows more light to pass through than any other dental material. It can mimic the natural colours and tones found in enamel, which means that porcelain veneers are perfect for making changes to discoloured or misshapen teeth.

Porcelain veneers should not be confused with dental bonding, which is another popular cosmetic treatment to improve the shape of your teeth. Where bonding uses composite resin as a filling material, porcelain veneers use porcelain as a cover, protecting the original tooth.

Porcelain veneers are extremely durable and will last for about ten years or longer, depending on your level of care and maintenance. To prolong the life of your dental veneers, ensure you are practising good oral hygiene that includes brushing twice daily, flossing, and visiting us for regular dental check-ups.

Porcelain Veneers Procedure

Porcelain veneers is a cosmetic dental procedure that adds to the surfaces of your teeth. The porcelain laminates provide a more even surface and cover imperfections such as discolouration, chips or pits. These dental veneers have become increasingly popular as they give you a natural-looking smile without the need for braces.

At Greenland Dental, our porcelain veneers procedure consists of the following:

Procedure:

Group 67 2

Diagnosis

During your consultation session, you will undergo a discussion with one of our veneer dentists to cover everything you need to know about the porcelain veneers procedure. During this appointment, our dentists will also take X-rays and impressions of your mouth.

Group 68 3

Preparation

At your next appointment, temporary dental veneers will be placed on your teeth. This will give you a preview of the final design and allow you to make any necessary adjustments.

Once satisfied with how they look, our veneer dentists will prepare your teeth accordingly and take an impression on your mouth, and your custom-made dental veneers will be created in our dental lab.

Group 37

Placement

In your final visit, your temporary teeth veneers will be removed, and the final porcelain veneers will be attached to your teeth. Once you have approved the look and feel, a special UV curing light is used to securely bond the dental veneers in place.

Why are Porcelain Veneers the Best Veneers to Get

Porcelain veneer treatments offer various benefits over other cosmetic dentistry procedures, including:

Porcelain veneers are the best veneers to get because they offer a permanent solution. There is no downtime required before you go back to work, and you can continue socialising or eating your favourite foods.

Another benefit of the porcelain veneer procedure is that porcelain restorations feel much more like natural teeth than other types of dental restorations. As porcelain is translucent, it’s able to mimic all the colours found in enamel. This means porcelain veneers can be used to change the colour or shape of teeth or correct damage.

Porcelain Veneers Cost

How Much Do Dental Veneers Cost?

At Greenland Dental, our philosophy centres on the belief that everyone should have access to premium dental care. To achieve that vision, we aim to keep our dental veneers costs as low as possible.

The price of dental restoration and other treatments varies from patient to patient, so we take into account a variety of factors including your oral health history, the severity of the issue, and any added procedures that need to be completed.

On average, porcelain dental veneers cost between $1000-1500 per tooth. However, this price is not fixed as the final price will depend on the aesthetic features that a patient desires such as natural transparency, shading, and other factors.

Chantelle Wardrop

I have just had my first appointment at Greenland Dental. WOW! What a great team. From the reception staff to treating staff, they were all such a pleasure.
Dr Catherine was very thorough, not only working on the tooth I was there to receive treatment on, but identifying some other problematic teeth and providing options for future treatment. I will definitely be returning for future procedures.
